Container liner is a brand new and cost effective solution to bulk cargo transportation. Using Container liner would cost about 60% of using 2 ton Bulk Bags, about 50% of using 1 ton bulk bag, about 30% of using 25 kg Bags.

Container liners minimize cargo spillage and waste, and provide cost effective savings for the shipping of bulk raw materials, chemicals, agricultural products and foodstuffs.

Bulk container liners, also known as shipping, sea bulk or sea land container liners, are manufactured using a variety of materials including polyethylene or polypropylene. Bulk container liners come in both woven fabric and blown film varieties. Woven PE or PP dry bulk container liners come in either coated or non-coated fabric, depending upon the application.

Specific bulk liner sizes conform to any corresponding intermodal shipping container for cargo transport; however, the most common sizes, for standard ISO are 20 foot and 40 foot export containers.

The advantages of using bulk container liners:

  • Fast to install, load and discharge
  • Increased loading capacity
  • Avoid cargo contamination from pollutants and salt air
  • Avoid unnecessary container cleaning costs.
  • Minimize cargo spillage and waste

Method of loading the liner :

  • Unloading the liner. The most commonly used and simplest way is to tilt the container and allow the material to flow out under gravity or using pneumatic suction.
  • Blower. Pneumatic blowers blow the material along with air inside the container fitted with liner.
  • Throws the material into the container. As the container gets filled the trailer on which the container is loaded is moved forward.
  • Top loading. The liner has chutes on the top to facilitate loading from the top. Top loading liners are usually gravity filled.
  • Gravity filling. Gravity filling can also be used to load thru the front.
  • Conveyor. Material to be loaded is dropped onto a movable conveyor and this conveyor.
  • Manual filling. The liner front has a large opening in the front thru which a person can manually load the material inside the container.
